We concluded our unit this week by inviting our parents and friends to come watch our digital stories about our favorite artist’s lives.
Today we presented our Consumer Test results to our parents and peers. We learned which brands were liked by the most students and which ones were the best consumer choice. We tested an interesting variety of consumer goods!
We finished up the day solving a historical mystery. Sometime people eat the strangest things! Today was our last TAG class before the winter break. We enjoyed watching Mrs. O'Brien's class Consumer Scientists presentations and we played our state games with each other. We copied our class projects onto our flash drives and got them ready to take home. Flash drives, folders and report cards went home today! See you all next year.
We want to thank all of our TAG students and parents for their very generous holiday gift. We love our Rosemary money tree! You all help to make our job amazing and fun!
We spent our last day in TAG working on our animal food chains. A food chain shows how living things depend on one another for food. We learned that it it all begins with the sun. Students had fun creating their Paper Slide Video Food Chains. We also came back to the meaning of interdependence, which was where we began this TAG unit.
Student folders, flash drives and report cards went home today. Today we got to play the part of an inventor. Our TAG teams were given two challenges. We were given a specific amount of spaghetti and tape and we had to design and build two different structures. Here is what we came up with......
This week we learned about optical illusions and did some final editing on our projects. Everyone got to choose what art style they wanted to try in class. We hope you can come to our digital artist story presentations next week!
4th Grade Tuesday Dec. 20, at 12:30 5th Grade Thursday Dec. 22, at 8:30 We spent time in TAG class today grading our Everglades brochures using our rubric. We also discussed what we learned and ways that we could have improved our technology project. For the rest of the class period students worked on researching information for a food chain that they will be creating in teams of 3 using a technique called Paper Slide Video.
We constructed our new zoo today. We hope everyone will be able to come hear our animal reports and visit the zoo we created. It is full of animals you have never seen before!
